About Us
Maxine Davis, Founder of Every Life is a Story, LLC
Maxine Davis received her Master’s Degree from Syracuse University School of Information Studies after getting an undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota. She then established Information Access, one of a handful of companies in the ‘70s that provided on-call business research.

Background
After working a short time in television news, Maxine transitioned into the film industry. Since then, she has handled location and production for hundreds of projects including TV commercials, motion pictures, made-for-TV movies, rock videos, industrials and on-location still-photo shoots. One of her jobs was as Production Coordinator on Prince’s motion picture Purple Rain.
Approach
Maxine’s interest in production took her other places: she attended the Radcliffe Publishing Seminar in Boston, taught Financial Management for Film and Video for a Minneapolis college, and wrote and recorded audio “postcards” about India that were broadcast on National Public Radio’s The Savvy Traveler.
Maxine now blends her expertise in research & production. Combining current video interviews, family photos and memorabilia, maps, and old film footage, she crafts a video portrait of a person in their place in time.
In 2009 Maxine received her second nationally recognized Telly Award for "In the Shadow of the Acropolis," the untold story of the Greek Holocaust. This documentary short was highlighted at the 2009 St. Louis Jewish Film Festival.
Her first Telly Award was for "A Good Doctor," also recognized a winner by the Minnesota Historical Society in 2006. Both documentary shorts have been regionally broadcast on Public television.
She is a member of the Association of Independent Commercial Producers, and Women in Film and Television.
